Thank You Team PLK

Dear Team,


This is the 4th year PLK Paddlers has taken part in Singapore Dragon Boat Festival. In 2008,our team was merely a young fledgling group of rowing enthusiasts. Fast forward 4 years, in 2011, PLK has shown that it has grown in many ways.

As we entered new territories and chart new growth, the challenges abound have shown that others in our league are growing too and the stiff competition that we have been facing is not about to let up. But rest assured, I observe that our team is determined to stay with the best!

But, we must know what the best thing to do is in order to be amongst the best AND we must unwaveringly seek out stronger opponents go where no other CSC teams dare go to set new benchmark.

SDBF 2011 race provides ample lessons that we must quickly learn from to ensure sustained performance. But first, a thank you note to some key members of our team is in order.

Coach
He's been there for the team always, egging us on, showing more faith in us than we dare dream ourselves. His unwavering commitment to the team is evident, a fact we must ponder over seriously.


Team Manager
Din Wang for clearing numerous administrative work to register the team. I think, Evelyn invaluable help to support her for the online registration must be acknowledged too.


Food People (dunno what else to call them :p)
Din coordinated a group of willing members to ensure we don't go hungry for the two days we are at BR. These are those who deserve our thanks: Reza, Hasbi, Riven, Wen Yi, Joerg, Seng Chye, Sindy Cai, Gavin Tang, Sheila, Farhan, Zhi Hao, Jeff, Ming Wei and Evelyn


Boat Captains
I personally would like to thank Reza, Hasbi, Ong Zhi Hao, Travis Goh and Sindi Cai who were willing to step forward and step up to undertake the role as Boat Captains. The led the team to ensure that everyone stay together, get a proper warm up and warm down.


If I have missed out any names, I sincerely apologise.
